Again for 2012 We will offer FLAG FOOTBALL FOR PRE-K and Kindergarten kids.  Sign-ups will run with regular football dates.  Fees will be $70 for flag football. 

Sign Up Costs 2012: Football sign-up dates are Saturdays and will be held from 10 am to 2 pm at the La Quinta Inn in Joshua (pay attention to the website because we frequently change sites according to JISD availability or construction).  Sign-up costs are $125.  This includes game jerseys, and game integrated pants.  Their will be a MANDATORY additional $40 cash deposit for shoulderpad rental (if available) with a full refund upon the return of your pads at the end of the season.  Also we will sell used shoulderpads for $15 to persons who have signed up and paid in full.

League Information:
Joshua Pee Wee Football Association plays in the Brazos Valley Football Association.  We compete against some of the best talent from  Alvarado, Burleson, Cleburne, Crowley, Hillsboro, Kennedale, Midlothian, and Whitney.  In our league we have anywhere from 20 to 40 teams in each age division competing against each other and it is still growing.  The season begins practices August 1st with games beginning August 27th.  You can also expect 4 days (6-8pm) a week practices before games begin, then 3 days a week after games start.  The games are all on saturdays and each team has a minimum of 10 games.  You can go to www.brazosvalleyfootball.org for rankings of your team, schedules, player information, league By-laws, and conference standings.

Basic Requirements for Football Players:
In order for your child to play Joshua Owls Pee Wee Football they must either currently attend or live-in the Joshua ISD, be a returning player, or live in a town or school district that does not have a tackle football league.  You must be in the 1st grade thru 6th grade to participate according to the fall 2012 season.  NO KINDERGARTNERS or 7th GRADERS are allowed in tackle.  The age brackets are Bantam-1st & 2nd grade and must not turn 9 before Sept 1st, Minor-3rd & 4th grade and must not turn 11 before Sept 1st, and Major- 5th & 6th grade and must not turn 13 by Sept 1st.   

Special considerations can sometimes be met for kids who fall over the age limit to play within their grade.  However their are no guarantees.  Those decisions along with any special considerations must be voted on by the Brazos Valley Football Association Town Representatives.  Any questions you have you can call or email your board members.  Any special consideration requests need to go through the Joshua town representative "Dustin Lemaster" prior to the first day of practice (August 1st).
